If you're unfamiliar with Six Sentence Sunday, the idea is simple. You post six sentences from one of your works (published or unpublished, WIP or complete).
Today, I'm going back to my YA urban fantasy, Osland. I present this six without context or comment.

Perfect YA voice - just like a kid to deal with an alien in a practical manner. Great six!
I agree with Cate. I can hear the voice in my head.
Loving the Scifi! Woot!
I agree with Cate too. Great voice, and a six that makes me want to read more. Thank you.
hehe Martian-American love it, and it's a super fun snippet -- fab six
wonderful! I can see where this is going - great idea
Cate nailed it, got nothing to add. :-)
lol Can you send some to help with my husband's visa? (he's Costa Rican, moved with me to Cyprus) :) Great six!
lol! I love it! Very practical.
I love all things alien. This is great and the YA voice is perfect.
You definitely caught the kid mindset and voice. Great six!
Already it's clear that this is a world where extraplanetary visitors are common, and La Migra is one of their hassles. Hassle, of course, is better translated as Story... and now I want to know a bit more.
Interesting to see the different reactions. I usually provide more context but wanted to see how people would parse thing.
I will note, for clarity, that this is a modern day urban fantasy story and Lydia's parsing of the situation reflects more on her than the nature of the setting. :)
he he Very nice! I love the YA voice!
I could imagine that being said sarcastically too.
Yep, Cate nailed it.
Love the humor also
Interesting six!
Barb
wow, I think I'd be phased more in her position... guess she's seen/met weirder :)
ROFL I love this six!
Your six sentences reveal an appealing character who's open-minded and helpful. I like her already! Love "Martian-American" too.
Yes. Lydia definitely has an interesting way of looking at things.
LOL, I love the humour here. Well done :)
